Most people resign. They don't write a long letter saying why they are resigning and telling their employer how rubbish and inert it is. Surely, that is the news story. In what circumstances did her resignation letter come to be put into the public domain? She obviously feels the Society needs a rocket up it and thinks that publishing her negative views of it will be a step in that direction.

In truth, nothing will change and the Society will limp on until it collapses completely.
