What is really outrageous is the idea that the Court gets to keep the trial fee whatever. Its not the lawyers who are putting up the cost of litigation - its the Government with their mean little rules who think that all public services should be self funding - even those essential for the maintenance of a proper justice system. If you are paying £5k to issue proceedings (the cost of a small modest car) you expect a proper service - period.
