From my position in the defendant side we've been told that the reforms have been driven by two insurers who fund the government.

Most defendant firms and quite a few insurers never wanted this. The government has dressed it up as an epidemic despite whiplash claims falling over the last few years and insurance premiums still going up.

The whole reform had been mis sold to the public. There are people who are genuinely injured who will no longer be able to claim whilst the fraudsters will find another way to cream off money.

Along with the continued hikes in court fees it appears the government is successfully removing access to justice for all but the elite who can just throw money at something like their insurance company donors who have driven this reform.

I also fear for the workers like myself who will lose their jobs and will most likely find it difficult to get another one in post brexit Britain. This government is a disgrace.
