Really it is a travesty for BICBA to in any way endorse the UAE legal system while, at this moment, there is at least one British National who has been detained for over a year without charge; another British citizen robbed of millions of pounds in assets by the legal misconduct of Habib al Mulla himself; and British expats are regularly denied due process.
Al Mulla has forged documents, represented clients without their consent, and even represented both opposing parties in the same case; does any of this really inspire confidence in his, or the UAE's integrity in the area of arbitration?
