Given the woeful standards of many junior lawyers and having to deal with their semi literate and ill constructed drafting (none instead of non, loose instead of lose and so on) perhaps they should reflect on the fact that one of the reasons they're under pressure is because their work is substandard and they lack the knowledge, skills and application to effectively discharge their duties.

Further, all law students need to be disabused to the notion that law is a glamorous and rewarding profession devoid of stress, angst and pressure: it is not.

The pressures do not diminish with seniority, only change and if anything become more severe (think funding a practice, managing relationships and panel positions with clients, managing recalcitrant partners who need their head shoving down the bog and a size 11 in contact with their posterior) but WTF did they expect?

If anyone can point me at the career which enables me to roll in at 10:30 enjoy a 3 hour lunch and still be in the bar for a gin by 5 then please let me know . . . and no I could not be an MP as the green benches would be red if I had to listen to the drivel on all sides of the house.
