Jonathan, indeed.

The proposition that without this election the reforms would be 'foiled' is risible: the idea that Labour will sweep to power and prevent the reforms is simply not realistic.

There are, despite the public faecal miasma regarding the proposed reforms, strong and good counsel against them at very high levels within the Party and a serious lack of confidence in Liz Truss, as such with a thumping majority I think that a very much more sensible package of reforms will be applied, i.e. a ban on cold calling, FT at £2k across the board and no pre medical offers.

But ne'er mind the reason let's all scream 'fascist' at those evil Tories.
