Investigating whether there is a bias in the system can be a valuable exercise. It shouldn't, of itself, be dismissed as "Political Correctness gone mad". However, like most of those commenting on this article, I would suggest a question which should be asked at every step ought to be "Is this disadvantage/difficulty one which is faced uniquely by ...[insert whichever group's experience is being investigated] or is it something faced by everyone?"
