Well, I am not sure what the putative future position of a person has to do with what they say in the present (I dare say that as heir to a constitutional monarchy Prince Zeid bin Ra'ad currently has little practical influence on the policies of the government of Jordan), but hypocrisy is the tribute that vice pays to virtue, so it would be more useful to concentrate on the present message.
"Here is a typical letter to the Prime Minister, says Anon below. "Dear Prime Minister, My Hamster has neuralgia and Mr Corbyn says it's your fault". I rather doubt that the Prime Minister has ever received such a letter - not least because the European Convention on Human Rights says nothing about the treatment of animals. Which authoritarian figures did Prince Zaid have in mind? How about presidents Erdogan of Turkey or Sisi of Egypt to mention a couple close to his homeland?
