Claims volumes have increased. But so has advertising and peoples awareness of their rights against the tour operators. I must confess I was not aware you could claim for holiday illness until recently. I expect that there are also a lot of bogus claims as well (which is depressing) but what does concern me is the hyperbole surrounding these claims. It is wrong to brand every claimant a fraudster. I doubt a move to a fixed costs regime will change the defendant's tactics.
