Most people on a day to day don't think of the issue of legal aid because "lawyer" are perceived to be well off. Its when such a person or persons need the services of a Lawyer through necessity that they realise the butchery to access to justice. While Lord Neuberger is making a valid point, it would also be helpful if the said Judge can improve the contents of a Court judgment by suggesting a reform of delivery of judgments. In particular is the inclusion of all summaries of submissions made by parties to the judgment. This will allow an independent mind who reads a court judgment comprehend the reasoning of a court. The current status in which it is judges that select contents of a judgment is obsolete and prone to abuse.
