Depends whether they are relevant to the specific point in the current hearing. I wouldn't particularly welcome a full recital of the dispute between the parties if there was a preliminary issue whether the claim was or wasn't brought in time. In that context I just need to know what the law on limitation periods is and what the particular argument is, not what the substantive dispute is about.
