Burnett LJ provided the judgment in Wood v TUI. He crafted the law to ensure that genuine victims of food poisoning had access to justice without giving fraudsters and the claims management industry a licence to print money. A very capable choice and I'm sure respectable lawyers will welcome his appointment. The fact that he's male should not even be a consideration; the quality of our judiciary depends on merit not political correctness.
