This constant advancement of populist agendas, and diminution of the professions and professional standards, helps no-one and certainly not wider society.

There is a GIGANTIC difference in service provided by a solicitor and that of a will writer, the former justifies a higher charge. The will writer's ethics, standard of conduct and work is set by him, he is not obliged to provide legal advice, and carries no indemnity insurance. So whilst the client may be satisfied with the cheap and quick service, any real damage won't be known for many years. And, if he has screwed up, the poor intended beneficiaries suffer. Contentious probate is a significantly growing area!!!!

I really wish these so called "watchers" would continue their investigations beyond just scratching at the surface.
