I have not seen or heard a single mention of the family lawyers acting pro-bono in the national media coverage. Likewise nothing about the pro bono support provided following Grenfell Tower, nor after the various terrorist attacks before that. I understand that in the main headline pieces, but these have all had almost blanket coverage, with many explanatory side-pieces alongside the main stories. I've not seen anything in those pieces either.

Lawyers being nice and helping people for no money is just not seen as any interest to the public, or at least that's clearly the view of most (non-legal specific) journalists. Seems odd to me, as nice lawyers working for free would seem to be a surprising feel good story, but what do I know?

Which is also why this judicial criticism will also get little to no coverage, unusual though it is; the wider public just aren't interested.
