How many home owners are sitting at home with legal errors in their property ownership following the legal work handled by their conveyancer?

"Routine sale or purchase of a semi detached on a housing estate doesn't need an experienced solicitor" - Nonsense. That is part of the problem. No such thing as routine, as anything the seller has done to the property could have created a legal defect that the buyer's lawyer might miss. Only a skilled conveyancer should be used, or you take a risk....to save £50, £100 £300 on a cheaper lawyer...madness with an average price of circa£270,000 across the country.

I would never suggest an LPC student as a target for a conveyancing firm. Dynamic conveyancers have confidence from experience.

Technology is a complete red herring to sourcing a dynamic conveyancer -we all have email and that is simply not used enough, that is the point. It is the human conveyancer at fault with conveyancing standards these days.

Conveyancing skills are not good enough. Fix that, and we have progress.

Sadly with daft 'only if you pay to be considered' conveyancing awards misleading the public, chain estate agents almost forcing people to use 'we don't care about their quality but they pay us massive cash bungs' conveyancing outfits, and no accreditation requirement for the actual human being offering the conveyancing, the public stand very little chance
