Sorry, but I fail to see the argument. Press freedoms and reporting is not being curtailed or restricted. I have not known of any other court on my circuit (Midlands, West Midlands, Shropshire) that has a "press room".

Press, like Joe Citizen, are entitled to sit in court and hear and can report on cases in the usual way. Why they need special privileges and rooms is beyond me, when arguably advocates and legal teams have a more pressing need for rooms and spaces to prepare cases and speak with clients/witnesses.
