As someone who is dealing with a deceitful attorney who intends to act inappropriately, I have to concur with judge Denzil Lush - LPAs are easily open to abuse by dishonest people. After having spoken with numerous solicitors, I realise I am powerless to prevent my brother from selling our father's property behind his back, despite knowing full well that our father still has mental capacity and is totally opposed to it. Attorneys should be accountable like deputies.
