You can marry without "solicitors or barristers" being involved so you should be able to end it without them and their costs. If necessary tribunals (with mediation) can be used to deal with financial disputes and children issues. I am a divorce solicitor but I see no reason why any unreasonable behaviour for example needs to be alleged. I do not see why the judicial system is required to deal with these issues.
