Perhaps if the legal community placed more pressure on the government to fund refurbishments, there wouldn't be such an issue. There's a prevailing sense of apathy when faced with actually doing something. Lawyers love to moan as much as they like to argue. You could lobby the government or stage other forms of protest in an attempt to force change, but ultimately, you are happy doing nothing.

Take the recent changes to be implemented in Personal Injury, for example. The consensus of those I have spoken to from both sides, is that not only will these changes effect access to justice, but they will harm the profession as a whole. Fewer Claimants equals less work for Defendant's which is catastrophic(as seen with what has happened recently at BLM). I've heard so many people complain about these changes, yet aside from the odd open letter or published complaint, nothing has been done; and you're fooling yourself if you think that nothing could have been.

The state of our Courts, is just one more example of an issue raised and complained about, without solution.
