It is a very sensible strategy move by BLM. Say what you like about S&G but once they have cleared out the remains of the hearing loss case mountain, BLM and other top 5 Defendant disease legal firms will also have to cut away a very large chunk of their current and valuable fee income. They need to diversify into other areas of legal services if they are to survive. If Jackson part 2 ever comes in then inevitably there will be significantly less personal injury claims to defend which means significantly less bread and butter revenue for Defendant lawyers.
