Thank you Ibrahim Hasan – I look forward to reading your analysis as regards what steps practising lawyers will have to take in order to avoid bureaucratic retribution for retaining data, whether in their filing cabinets, on their hard disks, or in the cloud, relating to past or present clients, both lay and professional.

And on a related note, I have yet to receive an email from the Law Society Gazette data controller seeking my permission to retain the data which I freely provided a good while back when first signing up to be able to make comments like this one.
