This good article highlights the fundamental truth, that lawyers do not always solve legal problems, which fit neatly into compartments.

There are infinite scenarios, which reflect the complexity of human affairs, and workable mechanisms are needed to resolve such conflicts.

Imposing rigid technology in a “veil of ignorance”, which ignores the minimum requirements for justice, risks the accusation, that crude cost cutting is masquerading as “innovation”.

Too much regard is being currently had to the opinions of “Richard Susskind tomorrow's lawyers” and leadership is required to lead the debate, failing which the government will impose its own crude solutions.
