The solicitors who refused to accept service by email are frustrating attempts to improve efficiency. They could easily have replied to the LIP saying they required service by post - and that's the sort of CPR requirement that would help with dealing with LIPs, necessary because of drastic cuts to legal aid. If solicitors want to persevere with their monopolistic practices, they should campaign to reverse legal aid cuts, not further punish poor people who have the misfortune to be caught up in litigation.
