I was once against a LIP. He was good - my case was poor. However, to further handicap myself, I went out of my way to assist both the Court and the LIP
Needless to say I lost. (Struck out fairly quick for having no real evidence) He got full damages and full (albeit Small Claims) Costs.
So, what did he do (that needed my further assistance?)
Wanted to appeal the decision.
"But you have won, and handsomely, Mr Claimant"
"But it was all over so quick - I want to tell my side of the story"
Hmmm
We went for a pint in the pub next door and, for the cost of two pints, I explained to him about winning and losing
We still speak every now and then now he and I
Its a strange world !!
