I feel the A2J calculation is probably a little one sided. Having said that, I thought their position was there would be no saving whatsoever?

Let's not forget this is also about fraud. Someone in Whitehall must have also crunched some figures and the potential savings to the MoJ (number of cases slashed freeing up court time etc), having just had their budgets slashed?

It's not popular (not because of access to justice, but access to all the fees), but the system needs a little shake up. I do think minor car crashes are seen by a lot of 'victims' as a licence to print money.

Our country is not the only country to shake up the system. Spain, an example.

The PI 'industry' has created this, with all the bog standard medical reports, dubious schedules and often ridiculous costs at the end of it all. The system has been well and truly milked and we all know this. It's played into the hands of the Insurers.

We only have ourselves (well, we know the firms in particular) to blame.
