What about vulnerable men who are victims of violence; or men whose ex won’t allow contact and ignore court orders and who use contact with children as a control mechanism; or men who can’t afford to make applications to and appear before the court with the assistance of a lawyer; or men who are subjected to coercion and control techniques such as complaints to the Police about “historical matters”.

One day I pray that gender is taken out of the grant of legal aid and parties are able to access the courts with the assistance of a lawyer on equal terms to the State and all other parties. We could call it “Justice”.
