When will the regulators try and understand how the PI system actually works? A firm I previously worked at was the subject of an investigation for 3 years and was then found not guilty as the SRA investigators didn't understand how no win no fee agreements worked. Now the CMA and SRA call for PI practitioners to be transparent about their fees to the public. For the love of God - insurers pay our legal costs and everyone knows there are 25% success fees. There is no competition here as there is no need. Solicitors attract injured clients on the basis of experience and expertise - not on what they charge. Get real!
