The respondent in this situation has sought numerous adjournments, amendments and appeals, I think it fair to say that not only has he brought this whole matter upon himself but has by his conduct significantly increased the costs incurred.

Even making adjustment for the festive period I am unable to find any sympathy for him: he has besmirched our democracy, our profession and the tolerance and goodwill of the public at large by alleging that the actions against him were motivated by racism.
