No other outcome, was there? Folly is one thing, but dishonesty another. Just re-using a postage stamp that hasn't been franked = fraud, and a solicitor who couldn't understand that would have no business working in the law. A fortiori when the dishonesty is planned over a prolonged period of time and followed by an appeal based on a forged document.

But it is still a sad tale.
