Anon 17.03. I’m assuming that Mr Warboys was sentenced to an indeterminate public protection period with an earliest date (8 years indicating a 16 year fixed sentence?) for parole. He served more than that. He was entitled to apply for parole. The PB had to deal with it and did.

I have no quarrel with any of this. It might - I think, would - be better if decisions either way were published.

I don’t favour public adversarial hearings or appeals. I was postulating outcomes from the fallout from this case.
