I see my comment posted on Friday has been deleted. I can't be bothered to retype the whole thing.

I'm surprised Mr Carlisle is still banging on about this and he expects the profession to support his cause. It is with little surprise the profession is rounding on you when you are targeting us. Often without evidence and with serious questions about the true interest of his 'clients'.

I think it is hypocritical that you say you are protecting 'clients' from overcharging when how you and the solicitors firms you are in bed have some serious questions to answer about client data etc. Also, there is the question if your 'clients' know about the actions in the SCCO and their exposure to costs. Surely conducting your matters in this way is a thousand times worse than a client possibly being overcharged by an insignificant sum that the client most likely agreed to anyway and was told of the amount of deduction.
