To echo a little of what 09.52 is saying - Medco has made the whole process of obtaining evidence and potential physiotherapy follow-up even more of a s**t-show than it was before.

Medco has simply exposed us to the dregs of medical reporting and I don't think I have a single medical report come in now that doesn't have to be returned for correction of fundamental errors (males referred to as females, injuries changing location, accident histories and medical records ignored) that the most cursory of glances at the report would have detected.

And this is not limited to new agencies and experts - previously solid agencies and experts have seen standards slip considerably, presumably because they're having to cut corners to make up for reduced work.

On top of this instructing physio is - as the article suggests - an utter minefield of chancers and charlatans. 5 sessions of physio given in a week, physio given over the phone, physio billed but never provided.

It makes us look like credulous fools when speaking to our clients and we end up having to make excuses for a bunch of crooks when trying to plug the holes they stick in our cases when dealing with the Defendants - who of course think everything is fraud. (The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if this was actually the aim of setting up medco)

But woe betide we have a relationship with decent experts and treatment providers that we respect and trust! No, if we do that then we must be getting kickbacks.
