I wonder what McMillian Williams' COLP made of the partner's letter which was "‘threatening and harassing in tone’, with the intention of frightening James into compliance and showing no interest in any pressures she was under"? And what s/he makes of the SRA decision?

I note that the chargeable hours expectation was 1,440/1,515. While not negligible, this is not stakhanovite if there are few other non chargeable duties and a reasonable number of files - much depends on the number of files worked on: when in practice, and when responsible for around 200 files, I found that a quarter of my time simply disappeared in the transitions from one file to another. On one day I recorded time on 68 different files, accounting in total for 8 chargeable hours - but it took me 12 hours to do it.
