You can summarise this performance as numerous claims made, none grounded in research or evidence.
Has it passed his attention that CABs have suffered huge budget cuts, and most them are open for about 10 hours a week now. In that time, how are they supposed to deal with everything from immigration to housing to now a flood of RTA PI queries with a staff of a couple of non paid volunteers and law students?
Where is his evidence that the CPR or PAP can be meaningfully simplified for litigants in person?
Where is his evidence that county courts have capacity in their diaries to determine whether complex small track cases should be transferred to fast track?
He hasn't even bothered referencing the ABI on fraudulent whiplash claim figures for this Committee appearance.
The arrogance of these people, who treat their ministerial jobs as part time and a post retirement hobby, simply because it's less well paid than their careers in law used to be.
