Fraud is not always clear cut and so readily explained away. You all know this, just don't want to admit it.

It's not always about individuals. It can be about 'bog' standard medical reports, 'bog' standard care claims all for these 'whiplash' injuries. About an 'industry' set up to make a fortune out of convincing everyone how bad their whiplash is.

No claimant is going to be annoyed that their claim is going to be worth £3500 plus, following a 5 min medical examination.

I don't know.

But there is suspicion on all sides (come on be honest) that it's all a bit convenient. But it's a cash cow, until it isn't any more, following years of abuse.

We all know how some of these so called PI firms are set up. The inexperienced cheap 'fee earners' that are employed to turn around these claims like a sausage factory. Oh, I bet their bosses care so much about their client base and their rights to access to justice.

Not come across too many 'at fault' drivers with lingering whiplash injuries and care needs. I'm sure they exist though.

This isn't just insurers that feel this way. Some members of the public (that I've personally spoken to) do and claimant lawyers that don't get involved in that end of the market.

The 'industry' has caused this. Sure, the insurers have lobbied well, but who can blame them for doing that? Perhaps they are not the poor and innocent victims they make themselves out to be. But that is no reason to allow a 'dodgy' industry to continue to abuse the system.

I don't think that suddenly getting less for your whiplash is going to deeply concern the public at large. Nice of the Access to Justice firms being so concerned for them all though.
