It's a shame that people behave like this, but it's clearly a minority.

Lets face it, the pretty waitresses were there to sell drinks, and every advertiser on TV knows sex sells. Studies even show better looking people are believe more.

I've seen groups of women faced with attractive barmen, and some behave the same. I worked in bars for years.

All that said though, I think there is nothing wrong with same sex events, and people like the author of this article shouldn't really be "virtue signalling" and jumping on the bandwagon clamouring for "all male" events to be restricted in any way just like "all female" events shouldn't be.

The issue here are, strangely enough, the perpetrators.

I would wholeheartedly agree that it is disgusting that attendees have "closed ranks" and no-one saw anything.

As Einstein said: "The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing"
