Ooh the 4 page letter also says they won't consider a care claim that provides for a realignment of a temporary realignment of household duties as:

'We do not consider this qualifies as recoverable care and assistance due to the fact that the assistance provided is not significantly different to that which could reasonably have been expected by the claimant’s family / husband/ girlfriend/ mother/ sibling/ house mate.'

I cannot see an explanation about what gratuitous care actually is or what it is supposed to comepnsate for. There are no examples and I can quite easily see the overage person not even considering care as an element of damages.

From just this one letter I can see insurers already gearing up to deal with LIPs but without the many other ways of advising about losses there might be.
