The estate agents themselves would rather not use the call centres that most of them are contractually-bound to recommend, and despise calling them with a genuine issue only to receive a vacuous and unhelpful answer, so why foist them on buyers and sellers? Surely the commission for the estate agency services alone is enough, without collecting referral fees from any firm that is prepared to pay them for 'leads'. We have clients, not leads, people not numbers. Decent firms invest in staff and training to make a transaction safe for their clients, not referral fees and tippy-tappy CRM systems masquerading as conveyancing.
