Arguably if potential Lips could afford the legal fees or could guarantee a solicitor would fight tooth and nail, they would not put themselves in the firing line like this. When I was a LiP I was given a lot of help, even by the opposition's lawyer who I felt was very nice and very fair to me as I navigated these unfamiliar rules and procedures. I was grateful and we ended on a handshake.
