It would be great if the SRA could prevent the confusion of firms setting up with confusingly-similar or the same names.

I experienced a similar issue. Fortunately the "Solicitors from the Cess Pit"-type websites were only too keen to correct their websites, but the SRA were harder to convince. Paul Philip was very helpful, but the aim of the SRA to publish disciplinary decisions needs to be balanced by them giving sufficient and correct information so as not to create misinformation for the public and damage reputations.

It is reassuring to hear that the Gazette tries to ensure that any confusing similarities are clarified in their reporting!
