Expletives are one thing (excessive use is not appropriate either) but the article seems to be targeting sexist language and behaviour. Rather than "cool", why not simply say "out of order"?

Stephen Larcombe's post reminds me of my early days in the Civil Service, when the use of various degrees of understatement for reproach or rebuke was a real art; if you got as far as "extremely disappointing" you were pretty apoplectic. I still recall having to respond to a solicitor who frequently used uncomplimentary and insulting language, and saying "The somewhat intemperate tone of your letter is regrettable." And in private practice the phrase "With respect" used to mean, roughly, "You don't know what you're talking about" and "With the greatest respect" = "idiot". Ah, the subtleties of the English language!
