'The injury can't be taken away, but it is an injury so justifies compensation (the only real way being via monetary damages at that stage)'

Why? Why do all injuries justify compensation? Why not just rehab and financial losses?

There are countries that do not have general damages. How do you think the general population gets by there? Just fine, I should imagine.

There doesn't have to be a £ sign every time there is an accident, you know. People will adjust and get used to it quite happily.

There is already a scale system in this country for criminal injuries. So why can't a scale be applied to minor soft tissue claims? It can, the 'industry' just doesn't want that, there's no money it for them.
