Carol I think the thumbs down for your first post are by people who assume that the name of the child you are referring to was anonymised by the Court during the proceedings and substituted for a "false name". That is standard practice to protect the child and your post creates the impression that fruitless and wasteful appeals were launched for the sake of amending the Court record to identify the child. That is my reading of it. Must agree with Anon 12:21 re your second post, sounds like the family had access to justice and it is my understanding that child care cases are amongst the very few remaining where legal aid is available to parents.
