Carol, you seem to be missing the point. Anon 12 April 15.51 has said the Court use a different name or sometimes a letter to protect the identity of the child. It makes no difference to the outcome of the case or the decision reached by the Judges. It is to protect the child. Nothing more and nothing less. Why would you want the child named anyway? Surely it is best for them not to be named. Using the child's real name would not have changed the outcome.

as for:

Magistrates court Mother only Criminal Case
Criminal Solicitor, Local Police, Hospital Authority, No Social Services, Childs birth certified name
Mother innocent

This is appears to be a criminal case against the mother so assuming she is an adult she would be named. If it was a criminal case against a minor they would not be named and a false name or a letter would be used.
