I'll be blunt about it - any form of breakdown is a professional no no. I've heard incredible stories told to conceal the fact that someone is at home, unable to get out of bed. One of the most egregious was "it's a brain tumour, but no one is supposed to know." That was twenty years ago, and I saw him alive and well a few days ago.

The problem is that it is a dog eat dog profession, and the slightest sign of weakness is pounced upon and exploited.
