It is true, some EU countries have very low tariffs. Spain has recently clamped down on minor soft tissue injuries. Other countries have been mulling over taking action too.

What is also little known, many jurisdictions around the world don't recognise the claimant's right to recover legal costs.

The public in those countries are not up in arms about it. I doubt they have ever given it a moments thought.

There are also a few countries, and States in the US that do not award GDs for soft tissue injuries.

A2J would have us think this is somehow unique to England. It's not, far from it.
