From this episode I learned that counsel get to take it in turns addressing the judge back and forth, that points dealing with something as fundamental as reporting restrictions can be dealt with in a couple of sentences (leading to a decision refreshingly unencumbered by ratio or obiter), and that advocates as brilliant as George Carman will ensure that witnesses will all have deep background investigations carried out ahead of time, but that the complainant's character will come as a complete surprise.
