Anon 6.29. Not if you can finger your employees with the crimes first and make it stick. It took further investigation to find more documents that exonerated them. Which is what he tried to do and is why his sentence on a guilty plea seems (deservedly) top end.

A nasty piece of work.

Mr Davey - don't worry he'll be struck off.

What I don't understand is how his client account audit could fail to show £1m going awol even with some billing and lading and forgery without his auditor's noticing. Are these checks less onerous than they were? I had great difficulty sorting out a £3 15s 0d (£3.75 in this world) CREDIT on client's account in the days when.

It was my money, but I couldn't find out why. Eventually the powers that be let me give it to charity. The accountants' bill was a lot more.
