My clients drive in my town and are hit by other cars usually also driven by motorists from my town. My town is a northern one hit by industrial blight. Not many of the population of my town are well-off and the amount they currently receive for a whiplash injury is a lot of money to them.
For the commentator (and Lord Brown) who are told whilst on holiday that our whiplash claims are the worst in the world - bully for you that you can afford a foreign holiday where you will now be better compensated for sitting in an airport for 3 hours because air traffic controllers are on strike again than if you need to take 3 weeks off work because some numpty was chatting on their mobile and not watching the road in front of them.
