"Dear Client,

We are being forced by our Regulator, the SRA, to publish details of the price of bringing a claim to an Employment Tribunal.

This is of course idiotic, as it depends on what the case is about (ie. is it complex or easy), how strongly the Company defends it, how much value does the claim have, and whether and when it settles eg. after one letter or half-way through the Tribunal Hearing itself.

But seeing as I could be struck off as a Solicitor for refusing to give out this 'information' I can advise you:

The fees of bringing an Employment Tribunal Claim could vary from anything from approx £250+VAT (case over after 1 letter) to £20,000+VAT (case goes all the way to a 2 week ET Hearing).

I hope you find this useful.

If not, please can you kindly e-mail Mr Crispin Passmore at the SRA who will be delighted to hear your views."
